Ian started his apprenticeship with a private QS practice and following a short time with a national contractor returned to private practice when he joined nbm in 1990. He qualified and became a member of the RICS in 1991.
Since then he has been involved in a wide variety of projects as both Cost Consultant and Employers Agent building a wealth of experience from project inception to completion over a career spanning 30+ years.
This experience can quickly identify potential risk areas to Clients and also address these when producing cost plans in all project types. Post contract duties also benefit where his sensitivity to cost movements and cost trends has enabled him to be proactive in his advice to Clients in order to avoid additional costs rather than take decisions due to them.
